I3D Arauna Demo back
(L) [2007/04/30] [Phantom] [I3D Arauna Demo] Wayback!I prepared a demo package for I3D. Could someone download it and see if it runs?

This version has an initial implementation of my ambient occlusion code. Press F9 to activate it (and F8 to deactivate it, it's slow). Other keys are specified in the readme, and will also appear on screen when you hit F1.

(L) [2007/04/30] [toxie] [I3D Arauna Demo] Wayback!Kick ass! The only thing i noticed is that the Arauna screen (at the beginning) flickers and sometimes displays garbage (f.e. it showed portions of a movie i was watching before, so i think you display something that hasn't been cleared properly).

(L) [2007/04/30] [danielpovlsen] [I3D Arauna Demo] Wayback!Hi Jacco,
Very nice demo, indeed! Congrats! I only got one minor issue; the fps counter seems to work only in 2^n screen resolution widths - a minor bug indeed and a small fix as well, I presume.
Good luck with the presentation! [SMILEY Very Happy]
Cheers,
Daniel
ps. got about ~20fps in std. resolution
(L) [2007/04/30] [Phantom] [I3D Arauna Demo] Wayback!Daniel,
That's an odd bug? I'll check what's up with that, thanks for reporting it.
- Jacco.

(L) [2007/04/30] [dr_eck] [I3D Arauna Demo] Wayback!Perhaps I'm the only one who reads this site and doesn't play games, but, just in case, you should probably add d3dx9_32.dll to the distribution.
Edit:  As expected, it works fine after I dl'd the DX9 redistributable.

(L) [2007/04/30] [dr_eck] [I3D Arauna Demo] Wayback!@Toxie:  Good catch!  I don't know if including a single .dll is legal (or would work!), but the dx9 redistributable is freely available from Micro$oft.  I got it by searching at msdn.microsoft.com.

(L) [2007/04/30] [Phantom] [I3D Arauna Demo] Wayback!I'll add a note to the readme, especially since my code seems to rely on more recent versions of dx9 than most people seem to have. [SMILEY Smile]

(L) [2007/04/30] [beason] [I3D Arauna Demo] Wayback! Not that you care, but it doesn't work for me with wine under SuSE, even after downloading
d3dx9_32.dll (google search). I get several of these errors:
fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_SetRenderState (0x7ff7c778)->(40,0) not handled yet
I'll have to try on windows box once I get home. Thanks for sharing [SMILEY Smile]
(L) [2007/04/30] [Phantom] [I3D Arauna Demo] Wayback!I do care, I just lack the knowledge to fix it. Actually, I disabled postprocessing shaders for this demo hoping that it would work this time...

(L) [2007/04/30] [beason] [I3D Arauna Demo] Wayback!I don't have much experience with wine. Maybe all DX stuff breaks for all I know.
(L) [2007/05/05] [River] [I3D Arauna Demo] Wayback!I was trying to run the demo and only got a blank screen with the frame rate.  Then I realized it is because I was running with the debug version of D3D drivers.  I also get a crash when exiting with that debug version, might be because if a D3D leak.
