(L) [2006/08/17] [tbp] [Siggraph RTRT course notes] Wayback!I was quickly scanning [LINK http://www.cs.utah.edu/~shirley/irt/course4-siggraph-slides-abe.pdf] (edit) about Multiprocessor ray tracing & kd-tree, and they are also parallelizing splits (on top of sub-trees). That surely makes sense for such scenes.
