Code style for rendering back

Hi all,

I remember of a paper/document that propose some naming convention (and more ideas like type checking) that are fine to use in a renderer.
By example, it provide different definition for Color, Reflectivity, Radiance, Irradiance... also units like Watts, Watts Per Unit angle etc...

I don't remember where I have see this...

Does someone has a better memory then I ?
