by jbikker] [It's About Time] Wayback!People,
I am pleased to announce that the Brigade student game "It's About Time" is now available for download:
[LINK http://igad.nhtv.nl/~bikker/files/abouttime.zip]
This should run well on any decent NVidia GPU. A 580 or 590 is recommended. Quality settings are tweakable from within the game.
It's a puzzle game, but to save you some frustration: in the first room (small room with boxes) you need to jump on the boxes from a small distance (not standing against them), otherwise you will not get on them. After that, there's quite some areas to explore. Some areas require 'just the right time'. Use the golden contraption to change time.

by jbikker] [It's About Time] Wayback! You mean it starts, and you get 0.5fps? Also note that the game window must have focus, otherwise the app caps fps at 1 or 2.

by spectral] [It's About Time] Wayback!Yes,
I only got 0.5 FPS and the image looks ugly ;-P
Here is a screen shot ...
BTW, sorry for the late answer...

by thorbear] [It's About Time] Wayback!Runs on my system:
3 cores 2.8 Ghz
3 GB RAM
GeForce 560 Ti 1 GB
But, image quality settings must be so low its not much fun. I understand that my system isn't powerful enough. Is it possible to run at a lower resolution?

by toxie] [It's About Time] Wayback! Finally gave it a try and it really rocks.. Also its actually what one could really describe as a real game and not just a techdemo.. Nice!!

by Pablo] [It's About Time] Wayback!I experienced similar issues with the app. My system is a Windows 7 64-Bit with CUDA 4.1, 16 GB Ram and two GPUs, a 580 GTX 3GB and a 590 GTX. The NVidia driver version is 285.62.
I can start the application, but already in the settings menu something goes terribly wrong. I can choose the medium resolution, but the highest one or simply changing the samples slider completely crashes the computer. No error message or blue screen, the PC just reboots ... When I start the game without changing any settings, it looks like the images already posted and ran at around 0.5 FPS. It seems like something went wrong with the GPU scheduling. The two cores of the 590 GTX work at around 35-40% usage each, while the main device (the 580 GTX) is completely idling.

Jacco heb jij voor itsabouttime nog veel code aangepast in Brigade2?

by lion] [It's About Time] Wayback!Seems not working on GTX 680 as well (uses only CPU and performance is slow, seems same as GTX 590 problem).
Dig around the problem I`ve found that it can be because of pre-compiled Cuda code. In documentation Nvidia says that this way of loading binary kernels may not work on future GPU`s and SDK`s, so - it`s happen.
